Helpful hints to think about when in the field. Snow and weather observations are helpful for MWAC, but also help shape your thinking when making your own snowpack assessments.

Did you see any avalanches?

Signs of Instability

Did you see any shooting cracks?
Did you experience collapsing or whumpfing?

What did you observe?

Enter any other pertinent information below. This information may include: how steep was the terrain you rode/skied, which aspects or elevations did you ride on or try to avoid, how cautiously or aggressively did you travel, any additional observations not entered above, snowpit and stability test results, riding conditions, weather observations, or gut feelings.
