Snowfall on west side

Name: John Sidik| Synnott Mountain Guides
Location: Mt. Monroe

4-6″ of light non-cohesive snow covered a firm bed of ice in most areas of the Ammonoosuc ravine trail and Monroe Brook. Wind exposed areas were starting to scour or entirely scoured at higher elevations, but plenty of loose snow was still available for transport lower down. Small, but deep pockets (18″) of wind slab had developed by noon on Lee side of rocks and trees at treeline and above. Visibility was limited into Oakes, but signs of wind loading were very much present.
