Avalanche Courses in the Mount Washington Valley

A number of avalanche courses are offered in the Mount Washington Valley each winter. Climbers, skiers and hikers who spend time in avalanche terrain are strongly advised to take an avalanche course and do their part to educate themselves. Classes often fill quickly so participants should contact a course provider as soon as possible. Some providers will schedule private courses upon request if time is available. Avalanche course content varies based on the specific curriculum the provider chooses to follow.  Make sure you choose the course that best suits your needs.
