Throughout the day temperatures were mild in Huntington Ravine. Easterly winds in the Ravine were moderate. Boot packs actively filled in from wind transported snow. Observed wind slabs were thin and easily avoidable.

Little snow exists in the Alpine Garden. If you plan on toping out a climb from Huntington Ravine please remember to stay on trail and ‘rock hop’ when necessary. In doing so you will help protect and preserve the unique plants that live in the Alpine Garden.

The Summer Lion’s Head route is still open and is the least technical route to the summit from the Pinkham.
