The snowpack in Huntington has taken a noticeable hit in just the last couple of days. Steep areas are turning into waterfalls, include a small one in the upper part of South Gully (pic). The possible track of a D1 wet slab avalanche was observed below North Gully (pic). Surprisingly few wet loose avalanches were observed today, despite the warm air temps. Somewhat counterintuitively, shady aspects (South Gully, Central) skied best.
