Name: Ryan Lewthwaite| MWAC
Location: Tuckermans Ravine

Since Monday evening Tuckerman’s Ravine has received 15 inches of snow and gale force winds. Moderate to strong winds came from an East and North direction during the storm with a peak gust of 113mph. Today a light west wind was allowing for some new snow transport and cross-loading of gullies. Many natural avalanches occurred during and after the storm, but evidence has been eroded by the wind. Crown lines were visible in south facing terrain such as Lobster Claw and Right Gully. Debris was observed in Left Gully, Chute, and the Main Headwall. The new snow and wind has formed drifted slabs that are 1 to 2 feet thick and 4 Finger (+) hardness. Localized cracking and whoomphing was observed.
